PEAR SAUCE

Sounds like a sassy nickname, doesn't it? It is also a delicious snack you can make in the crock pot. I took an apple sauce recipe, altered it a bit and used pears instead. I should've put up 1000 recipes by now, considering I cook at least 15 hot meals a week. Lazy mommy.

Ingredients:

  • 10 pears
  • 2 lemons
  • 1 T cinnamon
  • 1 T vanilla
  • 2 T brown sugar
  • 2 dashes nutmeg
  • 1 dash sea salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Peel and core pears, juice lemons, and toss everything together into your long forgotten wedding present crock pot. Turn on the 6 hour option and feed the peels to spoiled chickens. Wait for your house to smell like melted christmas and then mash your pears with potato masher or wand blender(these are amazing). Serve warm in little teacups or atop french toast and enjoy the eternal devotion of your family. Wish that you just tripled the recipe because it's gone faster than a greased camero.
