Violet Crown

I've mentioned before how much I like our little neighborhood and here's another great excuse, a festival at the park by our house! We met our good pals Hannah, Levi and baby Quinn to stroll around the blazing sunlight and enjoy the day with. We even ran into our little neighbor Isadora and she and Ruby made up some quick choreography in the gravel pit. The Violet Crown Festival offered live music and theater, food trucks (sushi!), ice cream, handmade goods from paintings to jam, free seedlings for your garden, hula hoops, games (dunk tank!), and some pretty terrible face painting.

Evan did meet a boy with a cool superhero mustache face (pictured below) but most of the other unfortunate children sported ghastly abominations streaking down their cheeks with sweat and ruining any cute family photos their parents had hoped to capture. Think an adorable girl with a large red octopus in the middle of her forehead with scarlet tentacles dripping down her nose and under her eyes. A good idea in theory but she looked like she'd been assassinated. Shayla! That's not nice.
Sorry.

quote of the day: "Jesse's hair is gold! It looks like a crown" -Ruby
