Today we went to our local farmers' market, and though this is my third post about markets, I spend a lot of time at markets, okay? Sorry. This barely qualifies anyway, it's in a park and there were only about 20 booths selling lovely tempting things like honey, a myriad of melons and peaches, organic coffee and teas, mint, eggs, goat cheese, tamales, savory pies, and hot sauces. There was a creole flavored band and even a splash pad* with soggy running babies everywhere! We met our friends there and got sticky with peach juice, wet, caffeinated and glad. Nobody stepped in dog scat and our gingery habanero sauce is unbroken. Win.
*a Splash Pad is an aquatic play area for interaction with fountains, sprays, jets and other special features without standing water. Known for its safety, all the water immediately drains to an underground holding tank where it is filtered and treated to go back through the features again.
