Though mad hatters and talking rabbits were not in attendance we did wear elegant headpieces and enjoy dainties such as biscuits and jam, pineapple, real tea (instead of our accustomed pretend tea) and peanut clusters. Ruby helped herself to all the candy and ten scoops of sugar with a dolly spoon before we caught on and we all conducted ourselves with the utmost decorum and perfect girliness.
